Ruth has been looking after all three County Vets sites since February 2006. Her career started as a student veterinary nurse in 1997 after spending the previous four years studying and working at the small animal department of Moulton College in Northamptonshire. She gained her qualification as a veterinary nurse in the summer of 1999 moving to Reading working at Active Vetcare, gaining the role of senior theatre nurse. She spent six years there being promoted to head nurse, then a joint role of head nurse/practice administrator. Ruth was then asked to help out at our sister practice – County Vets. It was initially planned that she would stay for six weeks but that was back in 2006 and she is still here! When not at work Ruth likes to spend her time researching her family history.
With a background in client hospitality, Stellina joined our County Vets team as head receptionist in February 2018. Stellina’s dedication to her previous practice has earned her many extra responsibilities, such as the role of Healthy Pet Club advisor. She has built upon her relationships with clients and is trusted and requested by many. Outside of working hours, Stellina enjoys reading and swimming although her true passion is travel, having visited Australia, Thailand and the Caribbean.
Gemma started working for County Vets in 2006 and enjoys all aspects of the job especially meeting all the new animals and having lots of cuddles. When she is not at work she enjoys spending time with her family and dog, Roxy.
Helena has worked on reception at County Vets Sandbach since September 2015. She enjoys all aspects of the job, particularly meeting the clients and their pets. When not at work Helena enjoys spending time with her family and friends and looking after her three cats George, Poppy and Bobby.
Jodie has worked at County Vets Friarswood since 2008. She loves meeting clients and watching their pets grow. Jodie works part-time having two young children, so she has quite a busy life at home, the family includes her cat, Stella.
Lorraine has been with the County Vets team for many years; she is a receptionist at Alsager and the Friarswood surgery in Newcastle. Lorraine previously worked as a veterinary nurse for the practice for eighteen years, but changed career and became a florist working with her sister some years ago but her love for animals brought her back to the practice to her current role which she really enjoys.
Claire is based mainly at the Friarswood branch where she has worked since August 2003. She lives with her partner and two children. Claire enjoys all aspects of her job, it’s different every day and she likes to get to know the clients and their pets.
Nicole is mainly based at the Alsager branch and enjoys working for County Vets as she gets to meet lots of different pets and people. When she is at home, she is kept busy with her daughter and their dog Lucky.
Becky has worked for County Vets since November 2016 and is mainly based at Sandbach. She works part-time and enjoy all aspects of the job, getting to meet all the clients both existing and new and of course all the pets. She lives with her husband, little girl and three cats called Lily, Leo and Felix.
Patricia works in the administration office at the Alsager branch where she has worked since 1997. Patricia adores all domestic pets and wildlife. Over the years she has rescued many pets who have given her immense pleasure.
